Ageless Beauty, Timeless Skin

Although sugar consumption causes many ill-effects in various parts of the body, here I will explore the problem that I deal with in my job, which is sugar’s influence on the skin. Through the next almost a year I am posting a few case studies straight from my skin-care salons.

These clients all had issues with sugar consumption that were causing issues with their skin, sometimes unknowingly. I hope these stories will bring more awareness about the detrimental effects of sugar and shed some light if you suffer with problem skin. Gretchen arrived in for her first facial. She had wide-spread breakout over her whole face; small red-infected places that were continual. As I analyzed her skin, I thought it was sugar consumption but held from saying anything until I had developed more information. She acquired recently been through a round of antibiotics from her skin doctor, which brought her light relief from the breakouts.

I explained that she was probably contributing unknowingly to her condition and until we found out how, antibiotics or any other therapy was only heading to be a temporary solution. As she was feeding her problem long, the problem would continue steadily to grow. I asked about her diet Finally. I asked her to tell me the bad stuff she ate. She said she didn’t really eat bad things, but she probably drank too much coffee. “About 2-4 cups a day-at least.” Do you put anything in it, I asked. “Yes, I put glucose, one packet per sit down elsewhere.” Bingo-we hit the jackpot. Gretchen was ingesting 2-4 teaspoons of sugars (that people find out about) every day.

As I’ve said in prior writing on sugar, it’s interesting how we don’t think about the obvious sugar we have in our diet. She couldn’t believe sugars were leading to the problem. She acquired never heard that sugars were harmful to epidermis and certainly didn’t realize it was creating the breakouts she have been experiencing. I listen to this from most people the news is damaged by me to. They just don’t have a conscious knowing of this very simple compound that is creating problems with their skin. Obviously, this is one of the primary things I am trying to change. Although she had trouble reducing her sugars intake, Gretchen do visit a visible change for the better in her pores and skin.

At least now she actually is keeping the reins and reaches the settings of her breakouts. Anne called me concerned with scarring on her behalf face. She was also concerned about a hormone imbalance she was experiencing. She had deep cysts on her behalf face that itched and hurt and stayed red for a long period. Rather than addressing the breakout as I normally would, asking about a possible link to sugar, I thought we would concentrate on the hormone imbalance.

Another concern for Anne was severe and unpleasant menstrual cramping, and I recommended night primrose essential oil to help. She was very well-versed in homeopathy and other natural studies. She acquired caused a kinesiologist and thought in muscle screening. Anne have been muscle examined for evening primrose in the past, and her doctor’s test results came up with a “no” for utilizing it always. I asked her if she was willing to bypass the muscle testing and just try evening primrose oil for a course of treatment for at least a month, although 90 days would be better.
